Three bike riders die after being hit by unknown vehicle in Jharsuguda

In a tragic incident, three men riding a bike lost their lives after they were hit by an unknown vehicle near Gaurpada square under Belpahar police limits in Jharsuguda on Monday morning. The trio died on the spot. Their identity is yet to be ascertained.

As per reports, the trio was riding a bike when the mishap occurred on National Highway-49 connecting Belpahar and Lakhanpur.

While the exact reason for the mishap is unclear, it is suspected that dense fog conditions and over-speeding might have caused the mishap.

Some locals suspect that the tragic mishap occurred due to triple riding because of which the rider might have lost balance on the road.

Tension prevailed in the area following the mishap.

Police have reached the spot and launched a probe to ascertain the involvement of the vehicle that caused the accident.
