Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan
Odisha government is planning to distribute the ‘Mahaprasad’ of Lord Jagannath for free to the devotees having darshan at Puri Srimandir, informed Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Saturday. However, the minister did not clarify how and when the distribution will start.
Moreover, the Minister also informed that an interpretation centre (Bhyakhyana Kendra) will be set up in Puri where information will be provided about various rituals of the Srimandir and the Jagannath culture.
“Discussion in this regard is currently going on. A blueprint will be prepared very soon,” said Harichandan while attending the Ratha Seva Sammana-2024 programme in Puri.
The minister also informed that plans are afoot to ensure safety and security measures at Srimandir and enable smooth darshan of the devotees by leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered technology.
