As many as eight districts of Odisha will experience medium rain with thunderstorm and lightning on Thursday. These districts are Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Nuapada and Boudh. 

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning to the eight districts for three hours.

As per the prediction by the Regional Meteorological Department, Bhubaneswar, some places in as many as 10 districts like Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Nuapada, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Angul and Deogarh may witness light to moderate rainfall today. 

Cuttack and Bhubaneswar will also experience similar kind of weather during the period.

Moreover, IMD has predicted that light to moderate rain/thundershowers is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada on Friday.

Similarly, one or two places in districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Kandhamal will experience light rainfall on Saturday.

IMD has further predicted that there will be no major changes in the weather condition in the State till April 12. 

The temperature during day time may rise by three to four degree Celsius due to the effect of the dry air flowing into the State from west and north-west direction for the next two days.

Maximum temperature may rise to more than 40 degree Celsius at some places in interior and western Odisha during the period.
