Tata Motors has finally revealed the launch date of Nexon facelift. As per reports, it will be launched on September 14.

While Tata has been giving its SUV mild updates frequently over the years, this will be their first major upgrade since 2020. The Nexon EV facelift is due to get the same design and feature changes and enter the market on the same day.

On the exterior, the new Nexon will receive a major facelift, clearly drawing stylistic elements from Curvv and Harrier EV concepts. This is the second major facelift for the Nexon and will get a new split-headlamp setup, a full-width LED tail-light, a new design for the alloy wheels, the exclusion of the erstwhile Nexon’s Y-shaped design motifs, and much more.

As per a Car Dekho report, the alloy wheels will also be redesigned for the updated subcompact SUV. At the back, Nexon will be sporting a connected LED tail light, a redesigned bumper, and a more pronounced boot. Similar changes are also expected onboard the Nexon EV with its exclusive set of visual elements.

The cabin of both the Nexon and its EV version will undergo significant changes for a cleaner look. The face-lifted Nexon has been spied with a new two-spoke steering wheel, touch-based climate control panel, and revised seat upholstery. These upgrades might be carried forward to the Nexon EV as well.

Reports also suggest Tata Motors will ditch the existing nomenclature of the Nexon that started with ‘X’ – XE, XM, XM+, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux – and adopt the Punch’s naming system instead. It will now get 11 trims – Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure, Pure (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless (S) and Fearless+ (S).
