The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, Jagat Prakash Nadda will be accorded a grand welcome from the Jaleshpatta Ashram in Tumudibandha during his visit to Odisha on December 28.

As per reports, Nadda who is scheduled to address a huge public gathering at Tumudibandha on his one-day visit to Odisha will also inaugurate a shelter home for devotees and ashramites at Jaleshpatta.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also join Nadda at Tumudibandha.

The Chief Seer of Jaleshpatta Ashram, Swami Jivanamuktananda said, “Swami Laxmanananda has made the supreme sacrifice for Bharat Mata and conservation of Hindu religion, and culture. JP Nadda will pay his tributes to Swami Laxmanananda on his burial place and kick off his programme.”

“The kirtan group, inmates and devotees of the Ashram will welcome Nadda at Jaleshpatta. The students at the Kanyashram feel privileged that they will get to hear such great leaders of India. It will send a message that even the biggest leaders bow down their heads where great sacrifices have been made,” Swami said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Swami Laxmanananda and four of his associates were murdered at his Jaleshpata Ashram on August 23, 2008 when the inmates of the ashram were preparing for Janmashtami celebrations. The killing had triggered widespread communal violence in Kandhamal and adjoining areas. At least 38 people were killed following the incident.

As per reports, Nadda will attend two rallies during his Odisha tour on December 28.

Nadda’s public addresses will be held in Tumudibandha under Kandhamal Parliamentary Constituency and at Chilika under Puri Constituency.
