Two Class III students, Ayush Lugun and Rashika Purti, were run over by a speeding Bolero SUV in Keonjhar's SAIL township; police are investigating using CCTV.

In a shocking incident, a speeding SUV (Bolero brand) ran over two school children and fled the scene immediately in Keonjhar district on Friday. 

The tragic accident reportedly took place in the mining township area of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) under the Bolani police station.

The entire incident has been captured on CCTV, and Bolani police have launched an investigation into the incident.

As per reports, the victims, identified as Ayush Lugun and Rashika Purti, both Class III students of a local school, were returning home near Birsa Munda Club when the Bolero, coming from the opposite direction at high speed, rammed into them and fled from the scene immediately.

Local residents immediately rescued the severely injured children and rushed them to the SAIL Hospital in Bolani. Later, both of them were shifted to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital for advanced treatment.

Following the incident, tension has gripped the local area, with residents demanding the immediate arrest of the Bolero driver and seizure of the vehicle. 

Bolani police are examining CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts. However, the police have so far been unable to trace the driver of the vehicle.
