Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida arrives in Jeypore for the third installment of Subhadra Yojana on Raksha Bandhan, benefiting over one crore women. CM Mohan Charan Majhi to attend the disbursement ceremony.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Saturday, the third installment of the Subhadra Yojana will be released at a special event in Jeypore, Koraput district. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has already arrived in Jeypore ahead of the event. According to sources, the one-time financial aid will benefit over one crore women across the state.

As part of her visit, the Deputy CM will also tour the Kotia region, where she will review the ongoing developmental activities being undertaken by the Odisha government. This marks her first official visit to Kotia after taking office in the newly formed state government.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to attend the Subhadra Yojana disbursement ceremony in Jeypore on Rakhi Purnima. The program is expected to draw large participation as beneficiaries await the third tranche under the flagship women’s financial empowerment scheme.

Speaking to the media, Parida said, “The review will be done today in the Koita region. There are 26 Anganwadi centres in the panchayat. We will hold discussions with the Anganwadi workers, Lakhpati Didis.” 

The Subhadra Yojana, launched to empower women through direct financial support, continues to be a key welfare initiative of the state government.

The 2 lakh applicants who have been excluded, their applications sent to the government. No further application is required. Those who are eligible will get the benefits after verification, Parida had said.
