The Odisha cabinet on Friday approved the deadline for the closure of registration under the SUBHADRA yojana for the FY 2024-25.
As per the press brief of the Odisha govt's cabinet meeting held on Friday, 31/03/2025 has been approved as the suitable date for closure of registration in SUBHADRA for the FY 2024-25.
As per the press note "Till date, more than 1.06 crores applications are registered under SUBHADRA falling under 2 broad categories-applicants present in the NFSA/SFSS database and out of the all registered applicants, 80,29,741 numbers of applicants under NFSA/SFSS category have already been approved and disbursed with 1st instalment of Rs 5000/-. The rest applications under the Non-NFSA/SFSS category are under consideration and are being inquired by the Field Inquiry Team (FETs) at the field level to determine their eligibility as per the guideline for disbursal of assistance."
Deputy CM Pravati Parida recently mentioned that in 2025, women across Odisha are set to benefit from the 'Subhadra Yojana' funds on three different occasions throughout the year. The initiative, marking a progressive step towards women’s welfare, will see disbursements three times in 2025. The first of these occasions will mark the fourth phase of Subhadra’s distribution in January.
The second distribution will take place on March 8, celebrated globally as International Women's Day. Furthermore, funds will again be distributed during the festival of Raksha Bandhan in the month of August, a day that symbolises protection and love between brothers and sisters in India, the Deputy CM had stated.
Earlier on 22nd August, 2024, the Odisha State Cabinet approved the SUBHADRA yojana -a flagship scheme to financially empower women, and provide safety nets to them and their families with a budget allocation of Rs.55, 825 crores for a period of 5 years.
