Fresh modalities will be brought soon by Odisha government to accommodate around 2.67 lakh woman applicants of Subhadra Yojana, who were earlier rejected. This was informed by Deputy CM Pravati Parida on Friday.

Details of the modalities are to be chalked out in a high-level meeting scheduled to be held later this afternoon, said Parida while speaking to the media today.

“Details of the modalities pertaining to who and how to verify the reject list of around 2,67,000 applications will be decided at 3.00 pm today,” the Deputy CM said.

“As many as 2.67 lakh applications got rejected. However, the Cabinet has decided to recheck the rejected application so that not a single eligible beneficiary is excluded. I think this is the first time in history, where the reject list is being reviewed,” Parida had said earlier.

Anganwadi workers, who have been left out, will also be included to the beneficiary list, the Deputy CM asserted.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 14th Foundation Day celebration of Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR), the Deputy CM said the government will also release the third phase of first installment amount soon.
