Subhadra Yojana: As Odisha fixes March 7 deadline for 1st installment, know 2nd installment details
The Odisha government recently fixed March 7, 2025 as the last date for applying for the mega welfare ‘Subhadra Yojana’ and advised women/Subhadra beneficiaries to apply before the deadline.
Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida called upon all the beneficiaries to apply on or before March 7, 2025, which would be the last date of Subhadra application as the second installment will be credited the very next day i.e. March 8, 2025 (Women’s Day).
“As the financial assistance under the second installment will be released on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8 next year, the deadline of March 7 has been fixed for the beneficiaries to apply for the assistance under the first installment,” the Deputy CM announced.

Hence, all the beneficiaries are requested to apply on or before March 7 without causing any rush in the banks, Pravati Parida added.
Huge Rush in Banks across Odisha
Meanwhile, banks are witnessing mad rush as hundreds of women are queuing up to avail benefits of Subhadra Yojana in Odisha. Women standing in serpentine queues outside banks have become a common sight now.
As KYC updates are mandatory for the beneficiaries to get the first phase of their money, they are seen making a beeline in front of banks as early as 4-5 am in the morning. Around 2.67L beneficiaries had been deprived of the financial assistance due to various reasons. Many claimed that they were deprived of their money as their bank accounts were not linked with Aadhaar card and mobile number.
Tribals Bearing the Brunt
Although they are the genuine beneficiaries, most tribals are reportedly deprived of Subhadra assistance as they do not even have accounts and mobile phones. Most of them do not even use phones.
With Subhadra Yojana requiring a bank account and mobile number, the tribals have to buy new phones, SIM cards and apply for bank accounts.
However, Odisha Deputy CM Pravati Parida recently assured that government officials would visit the tribals, especially in the Bonda Ghati of Malkangiri district and assist them in applying for the mega scheme.
