Amidst the excitement among beneficiaries, the Odisha government on Monday advised people not to fall into the traps of cyber fraudsters. The piece of advice was given by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida in an exclusive interview to OTV.

There is an excitement among people as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch the much-awaited Subhadra Yojana of the newly formed BJP government in Odisha on September 17. The women beneficiaries are scheduled to receive the first instalment of Rs 5000 tomorrow.

Amidst the excitement among beneficiaries, the Odisha government on Monday advised people not to fall into the traps of cyber fraudsters. The piece of advice was given by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida in an exclusive interview to OTV.

The deputy CM said that there have been reports that cyber fraudsters have duped some people in the name of Subhadra Yojana by sending them links or via phone calls.

“Odisha government is not sending any links or making phone calls to any beneficiary. We have received information someone has lost around Rs 12000 to such fraud,”said deputy CM Pravati Parida. According to Parida, people should not click on any link or share personal details like OTP and other things with anyone over the phone.

“The women should not be confused or pay any money. We recently got information, that a woman lost money to cyber fraud. No phone calls or links is being sent by the government for Subhadra Yojana. I urge the people of Odisha to remain alert as money will be directly credited to their account. Do not listen to anyone or click any links if they receive on their phone,” said Parida.

According to Parida, everybody has been waiting for this historic day as the Prime Minister will launch the Subhadra yojana and the beneficiaries will receive the first instalment of Rs 5000 tomorrow. Provision for live streaming of the event has been made at 318 other places in the state.

SUBHADRA Yojana Registration Will Continue

Deputy CM Pravati Parida today said that those who have got Rs 1 or not, every beneficiary will receive the benefits of Subhadra Yojana. Rs 1 was credited to verify the accounts of beneficiaries. The process of registration for Subhadra Yojana will continue. There could have been issues issue due to network and other issues for delay.

Those, who are staying outside, they can also enrol for the scheme anytime and there is no need to hurry as they can avail the scheme as it will continue.

“Those who will register after September 17, they will also get the Rs 5000. Those who register in November, will also receive the money. The scheme will reach beneficiaries in a hassle-free manner,” said Parida.
