SUBHADRA Yojana eligibility: Know who can’t apply
The much-awaited guidelines for the SUBHADRA Yojana were released by the Odisha Women and Child Development Department on Monday.
When the women of the state are hopeful of getting assistance of Rs 5,000 twice a year for five years, the guidelines also stipulate who won’t be eligible for the SUBHADRA money.

Who can’t apply
A woman below 21 years and above 60 years by July 1, 2024, won’t be eligible for the financial year 2024-25
A woman getting assistance of Rs 1,500 or more monthly or Rs 18,000 or more yearly under any government yojana like pension, scholarship etc. won’t be eligible.
Here are the cases that would render an applicant ineligible:
If a woman or any of her family members is
a) A present or ex-member of Parliament or Assembly
b) A taxpayer
c) An elected people's representative of any urban local body or Panchayati Raj institution (except ward member and councillor)
d) A temporary or permanent employee of any undertaking/board/local body/organisation of the state or central government or getting a pension. (All the staff or workers engaged by outsourcing agencies will be eligible if they fulfil all the criteria)
e) A selected member of a government department/undertaking/board/ central government/state government.
f) If her family owns more than five acres of irrigated land and 10 acres of non-irrigated land
g) If she owns any four-wheeler vehicle except for a tractor, mini truck, small commercial vehicle or any other lightweight vehicle.
For this yojana, a family means any family described in the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and State Food Security Scheme (SFSS).
Non-holder of NFSA and SFSS cards, but with a family income of more than Rs 2.50 lakh
