Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Friday urged the people of Odisha not to be affected by any kind of rumours spread about Subhadra Yojana.
Deputy CM Parida assured that the second instalment of Subhadra Yojana will be disbursed into the accounts of the beneficiaries soon.
Parida expressed concerns over rumours that the government will take back the money from the accounts of the beneficiaries provided under the scheme if not withdrawn leading to huge rush of people in front of banks.
Parida urged people not to be affected by these kinds of rumours.
According to the Deputy CM, the money the beneficiaries have received under the scheme belongs to them and they can spend it at any time they want. She advised the beneficiaries to get Rs 500 bonus by spending the amount digitally.
“Huge rush is witnessed near the banks across the State after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Subhadra Yojana. Once again I want to assure the people of Odisha that the money sent to their accounts belongs to them. The government will neither take it back nor claim interest over the amount. Please don’t get affected by any kinds of rumours and avoid standing in long queues in front of banks,” said Parida.
“The beneficiaries can spend the money sent to your account at any time. The beneficiaries will get a bonus of Rs 500 if they spend the amount digitally. The government is encouraging digital transactions,” she added.
