The Directorate of Secondary Education of Odisha has ordered verification and stickering of free bicycles provided to Class 9 students in the state under 'Ganagadhar Sikhya Manak Brudhi Yojana'.

The Education Department wrote a letter to all district education officers (DEOs) and Block Education Officers (BEOs) in this regard. 

The sticker carrying the logo 'Ame Gadhibu Nua Odisha' (We Will Build New Odisha) will be affixed to the bicycles provided to the students. 

The directorate stated that the State government has enhanced the assistance under the scheme to Rs 3,500 from this year and stressed on timely reaching of the benefits to the students.  

The official letter mentioned that the November 30 (Thursday) has been fixed for the verification and affixing of the stickers in the High Schools in the state. 

For the process, the students are strictly instructed to bring self-certificates. The students have also been directed to come to their schools with their bicycles. 

The affixing work will be done during the recess period without affecting the studies.

The official letter mentioned that on December 15, the Utilisation Certificates should be deposited at the office.
