Putting an end to all the wait, the Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Ranjan Das on Tuesday informed that the much-awaited Srimandir Parikrama Project will be completed by the end of this October.

Das informed this following a review meeting on the ‘Abadha’ scheme of the Odisha government.

Speaking to the reporters, Das said, “Main agenda of this meeting was the Parikrama project. Other things that we discussed were the Raghunandan Library, SJTA office, staff quarters, housing scheme for the servitors, installation of CCTVs in Srimandir”

“We will try to finish the Parikrama project by the end of October this year,” Das said.

Apart from that a proposal for a barrack of Jagannath Temple Police (JTP) was also discussed.

In January this year, the Odisha Chief Secretary said that the project will be completed in three months of time.

However, even after Rath Yatra, the project is yet to be completed.
