The Puri Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and district administration are leaving no stone unturned to make the inauguration ceremony of the much-awaited Srimandir Parikrama (Heritage Corridor) Project a grand success.

About 30 teams comprising servitors and SJTA officials on Tuesday left for various parts of the country and state to distribute invitation cards. As per official sources, invitation cards will be handed over to religious heads of various shrines across the country.

The teams left Puri today at around 8:30 am and later had a darshan of Lord Lingaraj in Bhubaneswar before heading towards their respective destinations. As per the schedule, the Srimandir Parikrama Project will be inaugurated on January 17, 2024.

Srimandir Managing Committee member, Madhaba Chandra said, “As a servitor, I am very happy as the teams have left for various places with invitation cards for mega ceremony at Puri.”

SJTA Chief Administrator, Ranjan Das said, “A total of 30 teams have been formed. While 17 teams will distribute invitation cards for the Srimandir Parikrama Project to major religious shrines outside the state, 13 teams will move in different places in the state.”

Das informed that along with the invitation card, a kit with bana (flag), brochure of Parikrama project and prasad will be distributed.

Puri Collector, Samarth Varma said, “The teams comprising servitors and SJTA officials have left for various parts of the state and country to distribute invitation cards from today.”
