IPS officer YB Khurania
In a major development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the proposal of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to repatriate 1990-batch IPS officer YB Khurania to his parent cadre Odisha with immediate effect.
In the letter issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet to the Ministry of Home Affairs, it is categorically mentioned that his repatriation is premature. With the senior IPS officer returning to Odisha, discussions of his appointment as the next Odisha DGP have started.
As Odisha doesn’t have a regular DGP, the recent development has only given credence to the ongoing speculations.
