Special Patna–Puri train from August 28; check stoppages, coach composition

In view of the increased rush of passengers during the festive season, Indian Railways has decided to run a weekly Puja Special train between Patna and Puri.

The special train will run to manage the surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming festive season and to provide improved travel facilities.

The special service will operate from Patna every Thursday between August 28 and December 25, and from Puri every Friday between August 29 and December 26.

The Weekly Puja Special will halt at a total of 21 stations along its route, providing convenient connectivity for devotees travelling to Puri during the festive period.

From Puri: Every Friday from 29th August 2025 to 26th December 2025

Bakhtiyarpur, Barh, Mokama, Kiul, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Asansol, Durgapur, Barddhaman, Dankuni, Andul, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, and Sakhigopal.
