Sambit Routray
There seems no end to the ongoing trade of barbs between two BJD leaders-Debashish Samantaray and Sambit Routray.
Responding to yesterday’s verbal attack of Debashish, Sambit on Tuesday let himself loose while launching a broadside.
Debashish on Monday said he never considers Sambit at par with his own political level.
Responding to Debashish, Sambit said, “My ‘Dhola Bhitare Musha’ remark was not aimed at him. I can’t understand why he is reacting. He has been rejected by the Cuttack people.”

“In 2019, the party president gave a ticket to him for Cuttack-Barabati constituency, Souvic Biswal, son of Pravat Biswal from Choudwar constituency, and me from Paradip constituency. That time, almost all won except him. Despite Cuttack-Barabati being the fortress of BJD, why did he lose? Even if I am not at par with his political level, I won,” said Sambit.
“In 2024, the party didn’t field him but gave him the responsibility to ensure the win of the party’s candidate. But the party’s candidate came third there. In 2019, I had received 70,000 votes and in 2024, my wife secured as many votes. Who has the ability?” Sambit asked.
No reactions were received from Debashish Samantaray.
