SOG jawan injured in exchange of fire with Maoists in Odisha's Nuapada

A jawan of the Special Operation Group (SOG) has sustained critical injuries during an encounter with Maoists at Sunabeda sanctuary in Nuapada district on Monday.

As per initial reports, an exchange of fire was reported between the SOG jawans and the Maoists at Sibnarayanpur area under the sanctuary.

The injured jawan has been admitted to a private hospital in Raipur.

The exchange of fire was underway at the filing of this report. Further details awaited.
