Six must-visit places in Odisha’s Keonjhar highlighted during Lok Sabha discussion
Keonjhar, a land of mesmerizing waterfalls, lush forests, and serene landscapes, is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Home to some of Odisha’s most stunning natural wonders, the district offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty and cultural heritage.
During the Zero Hour of the Lok Sabha, Keonjhar MP Ananta Nayak emphasised the need for tourism development in the district. He highlighted the region’s rich natural, cultural, and religious heritage and urged for better infrastructure, promotion, and connectivity.
Sanaghagara Waterfall – Nestled amidst lush greenery, this picturesque waterfall is a favourite picnic and trekking destination, offering a serene escape into nature.
Gundicha Ghagi Waterfall – A hidden gem surrounded by dense forests, this cascading waterfall attracts adventure seekers and nature lovers alike.
Handibhanga Waterfall – Known for its 200-ft drop, this stunning waterfall is a paradise for photographers and travelers looking for an offbeat experience.

With around 22 scenic spots within a 150-km radius, the district has immense tourism potential that needs proper promotion and infrastructure development.
The MP has urged the government to improve road transport, accommodation facilities, and internet connectivity while promoting these sites to boost tourism in the region.
