Seven dead in separate road accidents in Odisha

As many as five people were killed after a scooter and a bike collided head-on near Kesari Patna village under Bhanjanagar block in Ganjam district late on Thursday night. Another person was critically injured in the mishap.

As per reports, a scooter collided head-on with a bike coming from the opposite direction near Kesari Patna village late Thursday night. While three persons died on the spot, three others were admitted to the nearby hospital in critical condition. 

However, two of them died while undergoing treatment. Another person was shifted to Berhampur Hospital as his condition deteriorated.

It is learnt that two of the deceased were employees of the Electricity Department.

Upon being informed by local people, Bhanjanagar police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

2 killed in Balasore mishap

In another tragic accident, two bikers were killed near Uluda Square under Kamarda police station in Balasore on Thursday.

As per reports, the bikers lost their balance and collided with a truck stationed on the roadside near Uluda late at night. The deceased bikers were reportedly local residents.
