EAM S Jaishankar at Konark Eco-Retreat in Odisha
Minister of External Affairs of India S Jaishankar visited various tourist sites in Bhubaneswar and the adjoining Puri and Konark, along the lines of his visit to Odisha for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Sammelan, which begins today.
The Union Minister arrived at the state capital on Monday evening, along with his wife, for a five-day visit. On Tuesday morning, he visited the Konark Sun Temple and its Interpretation Centre, Puri Jagannath Temple, the Dhauli Shanti Stupa, and the Raghurajpur Arts Village to learn about Odia culture and heritage.
In the evening, the EAM headed to the Konark Eco-Retreat and praised the sightseeing and hospitality arrangements at the site. Incidentally, the Konark Eco-Retreat remains adorned with views of the Bay of Bengal while cultural shows and traditional folk art add to a delightful experience for visitors.
Emphasizing this, S Jaishankar stated to media persons that he enjoyed the natural views as well as the Odia cuisine during his stay while hoping for more tourists to come and experience the same.
“Prime Minister Modi is promoting tourism in a very big way and this will be realised as more people come forward to see parts of our own country. I hope many more people come and enjoy this experience,” he added.
Blessed to have darshan of Lord Jagannath ji at Puri today.
