Rumoured girlfriend of BJD MLA files police complaint over threat calls

BJD's Tirtol MLA Bijay Shankar Das' rumoured girlfriend Somalika Dash filed a complaint at Jagatsinghpur Police Station on Tuesday alleging anonymous threat calls and targeted-hatred against her on social media.

“Bijay Shankar and his friends have been sharing my pictures from my facebook profile to blame me. What is the BJD government doing? Why nobody is asking him (Bijay Shankar) to stop,” said Somalika.

“Such a legislator should be dragged out of his home and thrashed in the open,” she said.

Somalika had earlier alleged that she received threat calls from an unknown person asking her to withdraw the complaint against the legislator.

Somalika, who accused Bijay Shankar of betrayal, has handed over the call recording to the media.

However, Somalika said she has no clue about the person who was trying to mediate between her and the BJD leader.

In the purported audio clip, the person can be heard asking Somalika whether she wanted any kind of settlement. Somalika responded saying whether the caller would have gone for a compromise had the victim been his daughter.
