The Amicus Curiae MK Mohanty on Thursday informed the Orissa High Court that the repair work of the Natamandap and the Jagamohan of Puri Srimandir will be completed by April 30 this year.

While Mohanty informed the High Court verbally, the court has ordered him to furnish an affidavit in this connection within one week from today.

Next hearing in this matter has been scheduled for the next week.

Mohanty also said that the beam design for repair works have already been finalised.

The Orissa High Court in November 2023, expressed its displeasure over the delay in the restoration work of Puri Srimandir Natamandap and directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to start its work from November 16.

The HC also ordered that the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) will extend all possible cooperation to the ASI in the restoration work.

In its order, the High Court also said that the amicus curiae will monitor the repair work and will be submitting its reports every 15 days to the court.
