“Today, we have received notification regarding reopening of airports. It is hoped that the airlines will start resume their regular flight operations from tomorrow. As the today’s schedule is over, it now all depends on passengers to plan their trips and re-schedule their bookings with the respective airlines,” the Bhubaneswar airport director said.
The Bhubaneswar airport informed that it depends on airlines regarding resumption of flight operations and ‘we have got information that airlines have already started to offer rebooking without any penalty’. Everybody will see this sympathetically, and it is hoped that things will be in favour of the air travelers, director Pradhan stated.
In most cases, when aircrafts are not flying, the airlines give offer either to reschedule or refund the booking amount.
A detailed clarity is likely to emerge on rescheduling of the trips by passengers based on availability of seats and other reasons. When airports are now available, passengers will see their convenience and plan their trips and reschedule accordingly after contacting their respective airlines to respective destination.
“As the airports have been opened, it will be opened both for domestic as well as international travels,” the Bhubaneswar airport director added.
