Prominent film director and dramatist from Odisha, Pradeep Bhol passed away on Sunday morning due to cardiac arrest at District Headquarters Hospital in Sundargarh.
 
As per his family members, the 59 year old cine director was rushed to hospital after he complained of severe pain in his chest. However, upon arriving at the hospital, doctors declared him dead after an examination.
 

Bhol earned fame, love of Odia audience and appreciation from all over for the movies such as Suna Sankhali and Pabritra Bandhana. 

His movie ‘Chini’ released in the year 2016, starring veteran actor Mihir Das, Mahesweta Rai, & Amlan Das in lead roles bagged the State Film Award in the category of Best Film of the Year.

He was more active in the field  of drama and screenplay writing; than in directing commercial movies. His play “Mau” has been recognized by the Limca Book of Records.

Bhol was working on a play named ‘Bhaba’, before his demise.

Condolences showered from all quarters remembering the legacy of the deceased dramatist and cine stalwart.
