The Orissa High Court on Wednesday directed the Odisha government to regularise the services of 600 contractual data entry operators working at different tehsil offices in the State.

While hearing the matter, a division bench upheld the order passed by a single-bench judge.

Pronouncing the verdict, the court ordered the State government to regularise the services of the contractual data entry operators within three months.

Besides, it also directed the State government to provide all benefits to the contractual data entry operators since the publication of the notification (17 September 2013).

Notably, the Odisha government had moved the division bench of the court challenging the verdict of the single-bench judge. However, the division bench upheld the verdict of the court.
