Rayagada woman masterminds hubby’s murder with boyfriend, arrested

Police claimed to have cracked the mystery surrounding the death of Binay Pal in Rayagada district and arrested two persons including the wife of the deceased on Sunday.

The police said that Suneti Pal masterminded the murder of her husband in connivance with her boyfriend, G Kartik. 
On November 16, Suneti along with Kartik reached Chandili police station at 3 am and complained that her husband did not return home from his workplace. Binay Pal, a resident of Gunupur, used to stay at Tumbiguda and worked in a roadside eatery.

Suneti claimed that she and Kartik searched for her husband but in vain. She lodged a missing complaint at Chandili police station.  

On the same night, G Kartik informed the police that a body was lying on the roadside in Saipriyanagar. The police rushed to the spot and found Binay's body lying in a pool of blood. The police grew suspicious of G Kartik and suspected his role in the murder.

The police started an investigation and interrogated Suneti and G Kartik. Subsequently, the two were arrested on November 17.  

Briefing the media persons, Rayagada SDPO Rashmiranjan Senapati said, "A murder case was registered at Chandili police station. Our preliminary investigation revealed that Binay's wife hatched a conspiracy with her boyfriend and murdered him.”

However, the police did not reveal the reason behind the murder, as further investigation into the murder is underway.
