The Orissa High Court has sought to know the status of Justice Raghubir Das Inquiry Commission's report on the disappearance of the Puri Srimandir Ratna Bhandar keys.

As per reports, the High Court today asked the counsel of the state government to provide an update on the status of the report submitted by the Justice Raghubir Das Commission which probed the matter.

The counsel sought three weeks’ time to submit the report.

The next hearing has been fixed on April 5.

“The court has granted three weeks’ time to present the status report. Thereafter, the court will pass the order accordingly,” said Anup Mohapatra, petitioner’s advocate.

Advocate Mohapatra argued that even though the High Court directed the government to present the status report, the latter has been buying time. After hearing both sides, the division bench headed by the Chief Justice directed the government to submit the status report.

Meanwhile, the government has formed a high-level committee under the chairmanship of former Supreme Court judge Justice, Arijit Pasayat for the inventory of jewellery and other valuables inside Ratna Bhandar.
