All the three chariots of Lord Jagannath and his siblings-Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra-reached their destination in front of Gundicha temple in Puri on Wednesday.

Lord Balabhadra’s chariot Taladhwaja was pulled by the devotees in front of Gundicha temple yesterday on the occasion of grand Rath Yatra. However, Lord Jagannath’s chariot Nandighosha and Goddess Subhadra’s chariot Debadalana were halted at Mausi Maa Square and Badasankha in Puri respectively in the evening.

Thousands of devotees started pulling the chariots again today morning and they reached in front of Gundicha temple. The devotees can get darshan of the deities today and tomorrow day time. The sibling deities along with Shudarshan will be taken to the ‘Adapa Mandapa’ on ‘Goti Pahandi’ tomorrow evening. ‘Adapa Abadha’ will be available for the deities from Friday.

“After completion of various rituals, chariots were pulled by limited devotees again at 9 am today. All the chariots have now reached in front of Gundicha temple. The deities will give darshan to devotees atop the chariots. There are many rituals to be followed today and tomorrow morning. The deities will be carried to the Adapa Mandapa tomorrow between 3pm and 4 pm. Subsequently, Adapa Darshan will start and Adapa Mahaprasada will be served,” said Ranjan Kumar Das, Chief Administrator of Srimandir.

“Though Pahandi Bije and pulling of chariots started in time, the chariots could not reach Gundicha temple in time and it may be the Lord’s wish,” said Das.
