Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will stay in Odisha for four days during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, informed senior party leader Sharat Rout on Thursday.

Rout said this while releasing a logo of the Yatra in Bhubaneswar today.

As per reports, Rahul’s Odisha leg of the yatra will move through Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda districts.

“Rahul Gandhi’s yatra will cover 6713 km in India. It will cover 110 districts in 15 states. The duration of the yatra will be 66 days. It will start from Manipur and conclude in Mumbai,” Rout said while addressing a presser.

Congress leaders appealed to the people to join the party on a large scale and make Rahul Gandhi’s yatra a success. A phone number was also released by the party today, which can be dialed by people interested in joining the party.

The Yatra, to be led by party leader Rahul Gandhi, was set to commence from Imphal on January 14 and culminate on March 20 in Mumbai. However, the Manipur Government on Wednesday, denied permission to Congress to begin its Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, from Palace Ground in Imphal.

Earlier on Tuesday, while addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Congress general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal said Manipur has been chosen to start the march to “heal the wounds” of its people who have been affected by the ethnic violence.
