R Santhanagopalan appointed Odisha Chief Electoral Officer

The 2001 batch IAS officer (Odisha Cadre) R. Santhanagopalan has been appointed as Odisha's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO). On Tuesday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) issued a notification in this regard.

R. Santhanagopalan will replace Nikunja Dhal as the Odisha CEO. Santhanagopalan had earlier served as Secretary of the Labour and ESI Department.

Earlier, Nikunja Bihari Dhal was appointed Additional Chief Secretary to Odisha CM Mohan Majhi.
