The country will witness the Odisha tableau featuring a model of the heritage crafts village of Raghurajpur with messages on women empowerment on Kartavya Path in New Delhi on Republic Day tomorrow.
The tableau will showcase the wonderful craftsmanship and artistry as reflected through Raghurajpur pattachitra, and handicrafts. Moreover, it will highlight women empowerment in rural areas promoted through cottage industries.
The top of the tableau has been mounted with a beautifully sculpted and painted elephant. The audience will get a glimpse of Odia women artisans making famous Pipili appliqué works, chandua, and pattachitra on one side. The tableau will also feature a Sambalpuri song. On both sides of the tableau, women artistes will showcase vibrant Sambalpuri dance on the Kartavya Path.
As per reports, the tableau model has been designed by eminent sculptor Kirti Kishore Maharana and painter Gajendra Sahu.
