The shifting process of empty chests and almirahs from the inner and outer chambers of Srimandir Ratna Bhandar, the treasure trove of the Lord was done today.
As per reports, there were three wooden cupboards, one steel cupboard, two wooden chests and one iron chest in the inner and outer chambers of the Ratna Bhandar. Earlier, all the valuables kept in the cupboards and chests were shifted to the temporary strong room near Khata Seja Ghara and Changada Ghara in two phases on July 14 and July 18, 2024.
As of now, the empty chests and cupboards have been shifted to a room near the Niladri Museum. After the completion of the shifting process, the ASI will take up necessary inspection of the Ratna Bhandar using the latest technology as apprehensions were earlier expressed over the presence of some secret chambers.
