Despite all kinds of security measures and prohibitory orders, interior visuals of Lord Jagannath temple in Puri have gone viral on social media again.

As per reports, a person from outside the State shot the videos and uploaded those on his Instagram account. The person has been identified as Rohit Jaiswal from Varanasi.

It is believed that as there is not too much rush and vigil inside Srimandir due to the ongoing nine-day sojourn of Lord Jagannath and his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra to Gundicha temple, Jaiswal entered the temple premises and shot the videos without any hassle.

After the videos went viral, questions were raised over lapses in security measures again as mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the 12th century shrine. It has not been ascertained yet under which circumstances Jaiswal managed to enter the temple premises with his camera. There is no clarity whether he managed to enter the temple premises due to laxity in security measures as the deities are away from the temple or if there were anybody’s hands in the incident.

However, no reactions from the temple administration or police could be obtained in this regard.

This is not the first time that the videos and pictures of the interior areas of Srimandir have been shared on social media. Reportedly, on multiple occasions, such security lapses were seen with people managing to take electronic gadgets inside the temple despite the presence of a number of security personnel.

Earlier last year, pictures of the sanctum sanctorum (Garbha Gruha) of Srimandir had gone viral on social media. A youth from Bangladesh Akash Choudhury had posted the photos on his Facebook account.
