While replying to the queries of journalists linked to the proposed airport in Puri, the Transport Minister said, “An airport is essential for a pilgrim city like Puri and all aspects regarding the proposed airport are now being considered.”
“Our double-engine government would never stand as an obstacle in the development of the state. It doesn’t matter who started it. If it was started for the development of Odisha, we will take it forward,” he added.
Notably, a total area of 1164 acres is said to have been earmarked for the airport project in Puri.
