Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi
"The previous BJD government tried to eliminate me by hurling bombs," alleged Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi while launching a scathing attack on the Naveen Patnaik-led party during a programme in Sundargarh district on Sunday.
Coming down heavily at the previous BJD government during a party programme, CM Majhi said, “The BJD government tried to kill me by bomb attack as I always fought against them in and outside the Assembly.”
“The former BJD government hatched a plan to eliminate me and hurled two bombs at me. But, by God's grace, I survived the attack. I escaped unhurt. I think it is God’s will that I am holding the CM position now. Now I am entrusted with the responsibility for the overall development of the State,” the CM added.

Majhi further said that the BJD destroyed Sundargarh in the name of development as the party siphoned off the district mineral fund in the name of development.
Earlier in June this year, CM Majhi had also levelled such allegations against the BJD. Addressing a public meeting at Jhumpura in his home district Keonjhar, Majhi had alleged that BJD attempted to assassinate him by hurling bombs.

“There was an attempt to kill me in a bomb blast in Keonjhar’s Mandua. However, I was saved due to God’s blessings and the love of people. I have nothing to fear when Maa Tarini, Maa Durga, Lord Baladev and Lord Jagannath are with me,” Majhi had said then.
Meanwhile, no response could be obtained from the BJD over the allegations of the Odisha Chief Minister.
