President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended greetings to all on the occasion of the Nuakhai festival and called it an occasion of brotherhood and mutual harmony. The President prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the country on the auspicious occasion.

Taking to her X handle, Murmu wrote, “My best wishes to all the countrymen, especially the people of Odisha, on the occasion of the agrarian festival Nuakhai. The festival is celebrated amid the joy of the harvest. Nuakhai gives us the message of brotherhood and mutual harmony. On this auspicious occasion, I pray to God for the happiness and prosperity of the country and its people.”

National Vice President BJP Baijayant Panda also extended his warm wishes and wrote, “My heartiest greetings to all on the occasion of Odisha's agricultural, social and cultural festival Nuakhai. May your and your loved ones' lives be filled with happiness, peace and prosperity by Maa Samlei's blessings. Jai Ma Samlei.”

Similarly, sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik also extended heartfelt greetings on the pious occasion of Nuakhai, the grand festival of Western Odisha, with beautiful sand art at Puri beach.

“Heartfelt greetings on the pious occasion of Nuakhai. May Maa Samaleswari bless for a good harvest and prosperity. My sand art in Puri beach for the grand festival of Western Odisha,” he tweeted.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted a video and said, “Today, we are celebrating ‘Nuakhai’, our most important festival. ‘Nuakhai Juhar’ to all my mothers, sisters and brothers. Praying for happiness, peace and prosperity in your life.”
