With the moon landing process of Chandrayaan 3 all set to take place from 5.45 pm on Wednesday evening, several individuals, cultural committees, students and scientists from Odisha organised pujas and prayers for the safe landing of the lander module, Vikram, on the south pole of the lunar surface.

Moreover, excitement among people about the success of Chandrayaan-3 reached its peak across the State.

Biswakarma temple committee near Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar performed yajna and havan for the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission. As per the belief of the members of the committee, Lord Biswakarma is the God of architecture. Hence, by worshipping Lord Biswakarma, the mission will be successful.

“Today will be a golden day for India’s space history. People across the globe are worshipping for the successful landing of lander module Vikram on moon. We are also praying in the one and only Biswakarma temple in Odisha for the same cause. With Lord’s blessings, we are confident that the rare mission will be successful,” said a member of the temple committee.

“We are so much excited about the success of the mission. Let Lord Biswakarma bless India and the world,” said another member of the committee.

Meanwhile, students of different schools in Berhampur, Malkangiri and other parts of the State brought different scientific projects to their school and showed placards wishing grand success for the mission. While many city schools put up big screens to telecast the event live, students and teachers in some schools sought divine intervention and conducted puja for the success of the mission.

“We are really happy and excited for the great mission. We pray before the God for the successful landing on the south pole of moon. It will be an incredible success for India today. We had only heard moon as our uncle. However, India has made it possible to land on the moon today,” said a student.

“It will be an incredible feat for India. The success of Chandrayaan 3 will inspire many scientists and students to delve deep into the field of research,” said another student.

“No country across the globe has landed on the south pole of moon so far. It will be a great achievement for India,” she added.

Meanwhile, women in Koida area of Sundargarh district offered prayer to Lord Shiva and put up ‘Subha Kalasha’ at Nilakanteswar temple for the successful landing of lander module Vikram on moon’s surface.

“We all are waiting for today’s evening. It will be a proud moment for India. We are so happy and excited for the incredible moment,” said a woman.

Moreover, family members and relatives of ISRO scientist Manas Bhadra offered worship and prayer to Lord Jagannath and performed yajna and havan with a module of Chandrayan-3 for the grand success of the mission.

“When Chandrayan-2 failed in his mission, our son was worried. However, he is optimistic about the success of Chandrayaan 3. With Lord Jagannath’s blessings, the mission will be successful this time,” said Manas’ mother.
