Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reach Bhubaneswar on Jan 8 for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. He will stay at Raj Bhavan, attending the event on Jan 9 at Janata Maidan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on January 8 to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas being organised in Odisha for the first time.

As per the schedule, PM Modi will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at around 8 pm on January 8, and spend the night at Raj Bhavan.

PM Modi will attend the mega event on January 9 at Janata Maidan in the State Capital, sources informed.

Hosting Pravasi Bharatiya Divas for the first time, Odisha aims to shine a spotlight on its vibrant arts and traditions. 

The event will see participation from distinguished figures, starting with the Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar, on the opening day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address attendees on January 9, followed by a concluding speech by President Droupadi Murmu, underscoring the event's national importance.

Over 10,000 guests, including more than 7,000 overseas Indians, are expected to join the celebrations. This occasion is not only a testament to India's enduring ties with its global Diaspora but also an opportunity to exhibit the unique cultural tapestry of Odisha to the entire world.
