The last league match in the Intercontinental Football League played between India and Lebanon at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar witnessed power disruptions on Thursday night.

As per reports, during halftime, the power went kaput in the dressing room, VVIP gallery, officials' box, and the media centre of Kalinga Stadium.

Power outage forced players from both teams to remain on the field during halftime and begin the second half of the match from there itself.

That was not all. In fact, during the second half of the match, one of the floodlight towers in the stadium went off for some time. However, the match was not disrupted and the referee continued the match with the remaining lights.

Bhubaneswar is hosting the Intercontinental Cup 2023. The four-team Intercontinental league will be played in the FIFA international window from June 9 to 18. Hosts, India are joined by Lebanon, Mongolia, and Vanuatu in the mega tournament.

This is the third edition of the Intercontinental Cup, while the previous two were held in Mumbai (2018) and Ahmedabad (2019).
