Days after some non-Hindus from Bangladesh managed to enter the Puri Srimandir premises, another incident on Saturday reportedly exposed the lapses in the security and allied systems put in place for the darshan of deities.

It was alleged that a woman foreign tourist managed to enter the temple premises. While ascending the Baisi Pahacha(a flight of 22 steps), she was spotted by some servitors. She was being accompanied by a youth.

Later, it was learnt that the woman is a Polish national. This raised questions as to how she could get into the temple, where foreigners are not allowed to enter.

On being informed, police started an investigation to find out why the foreign national entered the temple. Police detained the woman and the youth. They are being interrogated.
