Police Medals: 34 Odisha Police personnel awarded on Republic Day

On the occasion of Republic Day, as many as 34 Odisha Police personnel were awarded Police Medals. SOG Chandaka Commandoes, Kumar Karmi and Pitabasa Pande were conferred Police Medal for Gallantry. 

Twin City Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi and Security Wing SP Saroj Mohapatra received President’s Police Medal. Priyadarshi and Mohapatra were awarded for their distinguished service. 

A total of 34 police officers and staff were felicitated.

Similarly, 20 policemen received the Governor’s medal in seven categories.
