PM Narendra Modi In Bhubaneswar

Ahead of attending the All India Conference of Director Generals/ Inspector Generals of Police 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday accused the opposition of spreading lies and misleading the people of the country.

While addressing a public meeting in Bhubaneswar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is quite natural that there would be ideological differences between political parties on several issues. The political parties have the right to take their views to educate people and also resort to agitations. But in the recent past, there has been a big change as attempts are being made to tarnish the image of the democracy and constitution, said PM Modi.

“Those, who think that power is their birthright, have been deprived of power for the last several years now. Such parties are now filled with so much anger that they do not hesitate to conspire against the country and its people. They are trying to take the country to a different path and misleading people with the ‘jhoot aur afwah ki dukan’. They have now intensified such a campaign. Hence, it is a challenge for alert citizens, BJP workers and those who love India and respect the Constitution to foil such attempts and expose such lies,” urged PM Modi.

PM Modi further alleged that when the lies of such parties don’t work, they come up with another big lie. The objective of such parties is to mislead the people of the country and grab power so that the gang that looted the country, by wearing different masks, again get the opportunity to get involved in such practice.

BJP Giving Priority To Odisha

The BJP government is giving priority to the rich heritage of Odisha. The government successfully hosted the grand Bali Yatra and I am here to attend the DG-IGP Conference, said PM Modi on Friday.

The conference has been held since the British period, but it is being hosted for the first time in Odisha. Senior police officials from across the country will return after seeking the blessings of Lord Jagannath, he said.

The Navy Day celebrations will also be held in Odisha’s Puri. The entire Odisha will be at the centre of the world. In January 2025, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be held in Odisha. The people of the state will get an opportunity to welcome the people from different parts of the world, said PM Modi.

“When such people return, they will take back good memories and it will boost tourism. We want to give Odisha top priority. Such events are an example of this,” said PM Modi while urging to make it a greater success than G20 event.
