Plans to make Jagannath darshan more disciplined on govt’s agenda: Odisha Law Minister 

Reacting to Puri King Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb’s statement over plans for online slot booking for Lord Jagannath's darshan, Odisha Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Friday said the government has several plans up its sleeve to make darshan at Srimandir more disciplined. 

Law Minister Harichandan visited Puri to take stock of arrangements for Rath Yatra and President Droupadi Murmu’s visit during the festival. 

On the sidelines of his visit, he answered queries from Journalists.

“To make the darshan more disciplined, we have thought of some plans. We will discuss with servitors, intellectuals and stakeholders. The government has taken a decision to work on it after Rath Yatra. We are committed to make the land of Lord Jagannath second to none in India during our rule,” said Harichandan. 

When asked about the reopening of Ratna Bhandar, he said, “The government will be taking a decision in this regard and soon a date will be announced.”
