BJP National spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi on Friday took a jibe at Odisha government by raking up several issues concerning the people of the state.

While talking to reporters in Bhubaneswar, Trivedi said, “Odisha’s land was peaceful and there was no issue of law and order. But now it is facing new challenges.”

The BJP leader said that Prime Minister’s ‘Sankalp’ is to provide basic amenities including food and shelter to the poor. But the news we are getting regarding PM Awas Yojana implementation here in Odisha is unfortunate, he said.

“The Centre has made provision for 28 lakh people under the scheme. But the list published by Odisha government is saddled with irregularities and there are now crimes and murder happening over it,” the BJP leader alleged.

Trivedi further said that it shows that the present Odisha government is not sensitive about the works done for the welfare of the poor. The officials are trying to fulfil their own vested interests. However, the BJP’s sankalp is to ensure that the all developments reach the poor, but the works of Odisha government are certainly very concerning, he added.

No response has been received from the Odisha government.
