Rainwater enters Sambalpur Sadar Hospital

Even a little rain caused severe problems for patients as the rainwater entered Sambalpur Sadar Hospital on Monday.

As per reports, rainwater entered the maternity indoor ward of the hospital last night. As a result, the patients in the ward had to go through a harrowing time because of the unwanted situation.

Following the development, some employees of the hospital tried their best to drain the water out of the ward. Though the water was eventually drained out from the ward, the patients continued to suffer due to the damp floors and walls inside the ward.

Residents of the area alleged that the situation has become a regular affair in the hospital. Even with a little bit of rain, water often enters the hospital wards causing severe inconvenience for the patients.

“Water entered the hospital due to overflow of drainage water. Water entered the hospital at around 7 pm yesterday due to the rain. We drained out water immediately and things are normal now. The patients didn’t face any kind of trouble because of the situation. This kind of situation had happened four days back,” said a staff at the hospital.
