Over 200 gelatin sticks recovered from Naxal dump
In yet another success against the red-rebels, the security forces have recovered several articles including over 230 gelatin stocks from a naxal dump in Odisha's Boudh district.
As per initial reports, the naxal dump was detected by a joint team comprising the DVF and the bomb disposal squad of Boudh district in the forest area near Kanagun village, under the jurisdiction of Manamunda Police Station in the district on Thursday.
On Friday, the security forces accessed the dump site, demolished the dump yard with proper precautions, and recovered several naxal articles.
According to senior officials, apart from gelatin sticks, the security forces also recovered safety fuse, pressure mechanism, five 1.5 Volt batteries and some Maoist literature have also been recovered.

The development assumes significance as Odisha is now on high alert mode as there is high probability of the ultras trying to sneak into the state following the encounter in Chhattisgarh in which 10 Maoists were recently killed.
On November 22, the security forces achieved success by busting two Maoist dumps in Odisha’s Boudh district.

The Maoist dumps were busted following a special operation launched by SOG, DVF and BD squad in Bahabalakhol Reserve Forest area under Manamunda police station limits in Boudh district.
Several Maoist articles including detonators, wires, mobile chargers, walkie-talkies, radio antennae, batteries, grocery items and other literature were recovered from the dumps.
On August 31, the jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) busted a Maoist dump and seized huge quantities of explosives in Malkangiri.
