OTV MD Jagi Mangat Panda along with NBF delegation meets PM Modi on issues concerning broadcast news
India's largest news body, the News Broadcasters Federation (NBF) on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed several issues concerning the broadcast news industry and the path to future readiness.
Jagi Mangat Panda, Co-Founder & MD of Odisha Television Network Ltd (OTV), was also part of the pan-India delegation, led by Arnab Goswami. The delegation also included representatives from the most prominent regional and national broadcast news entities.
In a release, the NBF representatives stated that the meeting with the Prime Minister was with a vision of advancing the media sector in alignment with India's democratic values, ensuring its continued role as a pillar of our vibrant democracy.
It is pertinent to mention here that NBF is a body with more than 70 news broadcasters that disseminates news in over 14 languages across more than 25 states of India.
Prior to the meeting with the Prime Minister, the NBF delegation also met Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for a detailed briefing on the issues before the independent Indian news broadcasters.
